basement nostalgia

It's bizarre to think these photographs were taken 4, maybe even 5 years ago. I remember using the basement in my old home for photos like these, with only light coming from the bathroom since I didn't own any external lights (and still don't), but I cherish the days when all I had was my Konica Minolta and my sister as my only muse and curiosity as my main drive for photography.

Sadly, my first camera died last year (moreso it's just not turning on), but I will eventually order another online seeing as they aren't built anymore nor sold in stores anymore. Either way, I look forward to challenging myself this year to create as much personal work as I can.

Much love to you on this Wednesday evening, dear reader.

to package

I think it's a marvel to create for others, whether it be a meal or a card or a small tidbit of appreciation. I have grown an immense love for paper in particular, and the art of wrapping to suit a particular individual's taste. One of the projects I will be starting this year is creating customized packages for clients, as well as sets of analogue photographs printed and wrapped to be sold on an online shop.

Packaging things and objects has and I think always will be one of those little pleasures people enjoy doing and giving, because it involves the process of intricately making something that is unique to your craft, and offering that to people who appreciate detail and the beauty in little things.

Keep an eye out for the online shop that will be up next month, the website is coming along slowly but surely and should be completed in February. I wish you all a wonderful Tuesday!
